Item
3-Bottle Collection of Justin Cabernets

Category
Food & Dining

Description
Trio of Reds from Justin Vineyards, an estate grower of fine wines from California's Central Coast with grapes from the Paso Robles American Viticultural Area. It includes the 1996 Isoceles Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2001 Rioja Reserve and the 2001 Obtuse, a port-style dessert wine. The Wine Spectator's James Laube gave the '96 Isosceles Reserve 92 points, writing Smooth, rich, elegant and refined, with a tight, sleek focus on ripe, vibrant, even juicy red currant, black cherry and wild berry flavors that are impeccably balanced, ending with a long, complex finish that keeps the fruity flavors reverberating. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Drink now through 2015. Purchased from the winemaker for $135 when young and well-cellared by a local collector, they should be worth more than that now.
