Recognition

Nevada City Rotary succeeds because of the commitment to service of our members and our partners locally and internationally. Each year we recognize selected members of our Club and Community for their unique contributions to our community and to Rotary.

Business Person of the Year Award

Since 1999, the Rotary Club of Nevada City has partnered with the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce to present the Business Person of the Year Award. This honor recognizes a local businessperson for operating their business according to the characteristics of Rotary’s Four Way Test. By encouraging local businesses to act in an ethical and community-conscience way, the ideals of Rotary are promoted in the community. In January 2020, the award was presented to Bob and Peggy Wright of Treats Ic Cream.

What a delicious Treat! Bob and Peggy Wright of Treats Ice Cream were honored as Business Persons of the Year by Nevada City Rotary and Nevada City Chamber! They bring such joy and delight to our community all because they wanted to share their love of ice cream!  The award is presented annually at the Nevada City Chamber Installation Dinner.  Read more at Celebratory Scoop! in The Union.
