Only 44 Days Until The Radio Auction!
Radio Auction items are continuing to flow
in. As of this morning, we have already collected 81 items totalling
more than $18,000. That's about 36% of this
year's $50,000 goal. Great job, folks! Let's
keep 'em coming...
With members of our community (as well as people outside
of our area) starting to view the Radio Auction
website, we thought it would be prudent to
give our existing website a little bit of a "face-lift"
as well. If you visit www.ncrotary.org,
you'll notice the website now uses the same design as the Rotario,
including the background, colors, and style.
There are also some new components of the website. The biggest
addition is the Calendar. On this, we will
post the most up-to-date information on weekly meetings, events,
fundraisers, etc. In fact, you'll already see dates well into
April and May (especially including the Radio Auction, District
Assembly, and District Conference).
We have also left room for some growth on the Avenues
of Services pages. At some point in the future, we'll
be able to have entire pages devoted to the projects that our
club works on throughout the year -- some you're aware of and
some you may not be familiar with. This is just another way
we can get information to our members, other Rotarians, and
especially our community about all the good work we do!
Although members have been winning their lunch money back during
the weekly raffle drawings, it's been about a year since anyone
has won the "big pot". But last week, Bonnie
Murphey did just that (see her picture in the Club
News section). After her winning ticket was drawn, she
pulled the Ace of Clubs off the board and then randomly pulled
the matching Ace of Clubs out of the deck. Congratulations for
winning over $600! Now, we get to start all
over again (once a new poker card board has been put together)...
