First of all, this week's meeting is back at
The National Hotel, not the Oddfellows Lodge (as previously announced).
Next week's meeting will be MOVED
to Tuesday, April 17 at the Nevada City Elks Lodge
for the Group Study Exchange Team from Thailand. Lunch starts at noon and will cost
$14.00 per person. A sign-up sheet
will be passed around at today's meeting to RSVP for this truly international event.
I know Tom Coleman won't be able to grasp the horror that I've been dealing with for the past week,
but I'm hoping some of you will be able to sympathize. Last week, my computer decided to crash
(yes, it has a mind of its own). Of course, it lasted just long enough for me to download all of
the pictures from last week's Area Speech Contest (I told you it has a mind of its own).
Luckily, I did not lose any of the pictures or anything else (like all of my pictures of Aedan).
It has just taken me several days to get my life (and what little organization that I had in place)
pieced back together. In fact, I still don't have all of the programs loaded yet, which made putting
together this bulletin (as well as today’s slideshow) a little tricky. But that's what makes Rotary
so much fun. So to all of the "technophiles" (a.k.a. technology enthusiasts) in our club: remember
to back up your data!
We'll have some esteemed guests in the audience for today's lunch, including representatives from the
Superintendent of School's Office, KNCO, and The Union. Nancy Kemp and the Auction Committee have been hard at work putting together today's program.
I can assure you that it will be entertaining and filled with some interesting surprises. But I can’t let
the "cat out of the bag". You’ll just have to come and see for yourself...
In Service Above Self,
President David "The Kidd" Kenitzer
