To proactively answer Pete Brost's nagging
question: yes, the ROTARIO is late again today because
I only have 7 MORE WEEKS of being your president!
And yes, there is a certain level of excitement as I type those
words...
Speaking of which, the Area 4 Presidents are
all meeting tonight to start the hand-off to the upcoming 2007-08
Rotary year. Have I mentioned lately that I only have 51
days left??? Just making sure you're keeping track...
A few weeks ago, PE Nancy Kemp announced the
Board of Directors for the upcoming 2007-08 Rotary year. However,
I was remiss in posting them in the ROTARIO, so here you go!
(Hopefully, I didn't miss anyone...)
| President: Nancy Kemp |
Club Service: Eleanor Kenitzer
& Cathy Wilcox-Barnes |
| President-Elect: Bob "Fa" Buhlis |
Community Service: Gary Gustafson
& Mike Collantuno |
| Treasurer: Ellen Davis |
International Service: Stacy Hart |
| Secretary: David Kenitzer |
Vocational Service: Nicole Oros |
| Membership: Eric Trygg |
Youth Service: Ed Townsend |
| Foundation: Shirl Mendonca |
Sergeant of Arms: Jim Phillips |
Finally, I've been hard at work getting all the pictures I
took at the District Conference sorted, cleaned up, uploaded
and labeled. To make it easier to view them, I created a Flickr
site for the club and added them as a set. Take a look: www.flickr.com/photos/ncrotary/sets/72157600161821494/.
The easiest way to view the pictures is to click the "View
as slideshow" link.

Nevada County Rotaract Club: Do you
know a young adult (aged 18-30) who believes in "Service
Above Self", but may not be able to become a Rotarian? Rotaract
might be perfect for him or her! The five Rotary clubs in our
area are forming a community-based Rotaract club in Nevada County.
There will be a Kick-Off Meeting on Thursday,
May 24 at the Holbrooke Hotel from 5:30
- 7:00pm. The President of the recently-formed Reno Rotaract Club,
Rebecca Gasca, will be there to answer questions
and to get the potential members pumped up!
