Hey, Club!
We sold 2200 Pulled Pork, 990
BBQ Beef, 300 Sides of Slaw, 1850
sodas, 400 waters, 162 Gatorades
and 214 of our 3 for 15 sandwich combos at
our Fair Booth - Awesome!
Thanks to all Rotarians and friends who worked in the booth.
Our day captains pP Ben Barretta, Nicole
Oros, pP Ellen Davis, pP John
Woodford (yes, he did appear), pP
Don Fultz, and Joe Tomkiewicz kept
the action running smoothly. Special thanks to Fair Booth co-Chair
Ben and super thanks to Joe
for mixing it up a little this year. Joe suggested we raise
our prices, drop refills, sell 5 sandwiches for $15 and offer
Gatorade -- it paid off. We will announce final income when
all our expenses are in.
Thanks again team!!
Don't miss our program this Thursday. Joanne Drummond,
Executive Director of the Fire Safe Council of Nevada County,
is speaking about forest fire safety in our county. In her presentation
"Making Nevada County Fire Safe", Joanne will give
us an interesting view of the challenge we face each day in
the summer.
And another reminder about the Group Study Exchange
(GSE) Program. Young professionals 25-40 travel to Brazil from
April 7, 2008 - May 7, 2008 with all of the major expenses paid
by Rotary International and the District. Brochures and applications
will be available at the meeting! Let's see if we can host a
candidate.
Did everyone see this month's District Newsletter?
It is a good way to see what's going on throughout the District.
The Fair Booth and the Children's Festival
are mentioned, and there is a picture from the Children's Festival
too! Take a look: www.rotarydistrict5190.org/District_News_0807.pdf
