This is the last week of “Bob’s _____?”,
and then David will have to find a new icon to replace Bob’s
???. Be sure and submit your ballot to be sent to you in a separate
e-mail.
It was great to have Dr. Scott Kellermann
give us an update on Uganda last week – great pictures,
great information, great sense of humor! Thanks, Scott, we wish
you a safe journey back to Uganda and pledge our support as
we work towards helping you make dreams real for the people
of Uganda.
Last Friday’s Childrens Festival was
another huge success. It was my first time to see the event
and I was impressed! The number of volunteers and the number
of children involved was overwhelming. Thanks to IPP
Nancy Kemp, Cathy Wilcox-Barnes and
Gayle Denney for all of the planning and work
prior to the event. And to Nicole Dillard,
Ron & Nancy Knaus, Shirl Mendonca,
Stacie Hart, Nancy Brost,
Austin Farrar, and the Aydelott family
– Bob and daughters Chelsea and Brenna and a visiting
cousin – for help with setup and cleanup (I hope I didn’t
miss anyone – let me know if I did). It was another Rotary
sponsored event that supports youth in our community. Job well
done!
Congratulations to Miriam & Bob Keene
on the dedication of the their new facility for homeless families,
the Booth Family Center. It is a temporary
home for families to stay while they are making arrangements
for permanent locations.

Several members are already on the list to attend. Anyone else
interested, please let me know – lets have a good turn
out!
Ellen Davis is hosting the program this week
where we will get an update on Foothill Theatre Company
and the programs and productions. I’m looking forward
to hearing the direction FTC will be taking and on future productions.
I hope to see you there.
