Valentine's Day Nevada City Rotary Style!

I had the most amazing Valentines Day experience at last week’s meeting.  The power was out at Trolley Junction as it was in most of the area.  The rain was pounding pretty hard and I was about to put one of Cathy’s raspberry chocolate cups in my mouth when cupid drew back his bow and the dark and the rain must have caused him to be slightly off the mark as his arrow went straight through my salivary gland and I fell in love with raspberry chocolate cups.  OMG if you ever hear that Cathy is serving up another batch get in line and don’t miss out and watch out for me because I can’t promise that I won’t run you over.  What an incredible treat. Thank you Cathy.  And a special thanks to those who braved the storm and got a complete update from Fundraising Chair Michael and a few others on the Hungry Games Committee.  Hats off to Trolley Junction staff, Sarah and Aaron, for working in the dark and providing a substantial lunch.

Ticket sales have begun for The Hungry Games and are going well but there will be some nervous energy until the last ticket is sold so tell everybody you know about this exciting fundraiser and what we do the money and how much fun there is to be had at the event and a good chance of winning twelve $100.00 gift certificates to twelve great local restaurants.  Next year’s budget and what we can do largely depends on what we do with ticket sales in the next two and a half weeks.  I’m offering up as gourmet a meal as I can turn out at my house for two to the person who sells the most tickets.

Meet our Chefs! If you are a Facebook user share the Hungry Games event with all your friends.  Post the poster and the link to our web site on your Facebook page. Also check out the fabulous videos of our Chefs by clicking Meet our Top Chefs.  You just never know who might want to join in the fun.
