Rotario - July 12, 2016

Dear Rotarians and Friends,

Welcome to my second Rotario newsletter. Once again it is a pleasure keeping you informed of our club activities in the coming weeks.

We started off the year with our July 7 mixer and our special guest was Barbara Jenness, owner of the Wheyward Girl Creamery. I believe Barbara tripled our knowledge of cheeses, both real and artificial. Her knowledge of cheese was greatly enhanced by her work overseas, especially in France. Barbara also brought wonderful samples of her gourmet cheeses that our membership enjoyed thoroughly. We also took a brief timeout to honor Gayle Denney's birthday with the birthday song and some cake.

Additionally, we had a work party at our fair booth on Saturday, July 9 which drew many of our members into action. Included on the team besides myself and my wife Sandy, we had Robin with her husband Tom, Carolyn Inglis and her husband Mike, Dave Bunje, Chris Newsom, Gayle Denney, Paul Boch, Ken Ching, and our adopted Rotarian Chris Geyer.

Due to the terrific participation of this task force, the estimated three hour job of cleaning scrubbing, taking inventory, landscaping, and painting was reduced to two hours. It was a super team effort!!

Thursday July 14 - Lunch with Bear Yuba Land Trust
