Dear Rotarians and Friends,
Join us this Week on Zoom
Thursday December 3, 2020 5:30pm Social
Lifestyle and Brain Fitness with
Corey Vanderwouw, MPT, Physical Therapist – Co-Owner, Fit for Life
Bogged in brain fog?
This week's program will be rejuvenating as Corey Vanderwouw, MPT speaks to us on Lifestyle and Brain Fitness. Are you interested in maintaining or excelling with your memory and brain efficiency? Are you recovering from an illness or brain fog and wish to become sharper? Are you a determined individual dedicated to highest level intellectual performance? If so, you may wish to consider an evidence-based practice known as brain fitness. Corey will share six aspects of health of which we can take control in order to improve our health and quality of life.
Corey has been a physical therapist for 20 years. She co-owns Fit for Life physical therapy in Grass Valley with her partners Ingo Zirpins and Margaret Matthews.
Festive Fun & Frolic!!!
Holiday Celebration - December 10 at 5:30pm SOCIAL!!!
Our Club Holiday Event on December 10 will be a 5:30pm Zoom get-together like NONE OTHER! Our Club Services/party team is having fun coming up with creative ideas for our Holiday Celebration. Wear whatever festive attire suits you ... we will have prizes for most glamorous, most humorous, ugliest and best head gear plus games and more! Serve your own refreshments and make us drool! 'Tis the season to make merry!
More Masks! December 12 - 9:30am Dave Robinson's
With the increase on COVID-19 cases in Nevada County, California, and the entire USA, we see the ongoing need to get face masks to members of our community who need them. On Saturday, December 12, we will hold another drive-through mask give-away at Dave Robinson’s Auto Repair shop on Zion Street, next door to SPD. We are planning to open from 9:30am to 11:00am or the until all masks have been given away if demand is as high as it has been. We intend to be cleaned up and out BEFORE the TOY RUN leaves the Rood Center at noon. Thanks once again to Susie, Carolyn Inglis, Nevada County Mask Warriors, and all the others who are working to make this give-away possible.
Your Happy/Sad Shares make a difference!
Thank you Treasurer Tom Ryan for your ongoing diligence with our finances. And thank you Club members for following the Four Way Test with your pledges to our Club! If you have questions, Tom R is happy to discuss your statement with you.
Your Happy/Sad shares give us glimpses of what is going on in your life beyond Rotary. They are special moments together especially since so much of our time is on Zoom. Your associated "bucks" provide a base for us to continue our special services to our community and beyond. Thanks for sharing you!
Stay connected and informed
Robin monitors our news@ncrotary.org email. You can direct questions to that email or to me. As we learn more and to stay in touch, we will send out regular or more frequent Rotarios.
