Community Service covers the projects and activities the club undertakes to improve life in its community.

One of the Club’s newer community projects is Party Hearty with Jimmi Accardi with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Sierra Services for the Blind. Jimmi Accardi and The Wild Cats play a mixture of boogie woogie, jump blues, rhythm and blues, rockabilly, and rock 'n' roll music in this all ages show. Nevada City Rotarians organize, advertise, and stage the entire event, including providing refreshments, snacks, ushers, ticket sales, prizes, facility costs and musician fees.

For over 15 years, the Rotary Club of Nevada City has taken it upon itself to clean up and improve a small stretch of public nature trail that starts at downtown Nevada City called "The Miner’s Trail". This trail, offers a short walk along Deer Creek near the downtown Nevada City historic district. Trees were planted, rock benches were formed, and printed guides to the trail are distributed in a small kiosk at the trailhead.
