This Week
District Governor Joe Zarachoff and his wife Cheryl will be visiting our Club. DG Joe will be our speaker as we focus on Lighting Up Rotary. Plan to join us and extend a warm welcome to DG Joe and Cheryl.  DG Joe will meet with our Executive team at 9:30am, our full Board at 10:30am and our Club at our lunch meeting.  DG Joe and Cheryl are both inspiring Rotarians from South Lake Tahoe. Don't miss meeting Joe and Cheryl and discussing Rotary from a broader perspective!

Friendship Club Why Girls
Jennifer Singer, co-founder and Executive Director presented a moving and informative Why Girls? story of the Friendship Club and the young girls whose lives have been so changed by the mentoring and companionship.

Zack Smith and Sidnee Anderson - scholars

Buckle Up Scholarship recipient Zack Smith and Scholarship recipient Sidnee Anderson joined us for lunch. Both are recent graduates of Bear River High School.

Adventures & Wine Auction - September 19
Adventures & Wine Auction is September 19. Always a special night, this year's Adventures & Wine Gala will open at 5:30pm with music by Dream and the Dreamer! We will have tickets at Thursday's lunch meeting.

We are asking all members to arrange for at least one donation. Talk with PP Carolyn Inglis or Judy Soldavini if you need assistance. Donations received to date are posted at 2014 Donations Received. Gary has 2013 donor lists for members to follow up with your contacts regarding potential donations for this year.  Visit our Club site for last year's donor list  posted by member.

Barbara Schmidt Millar Triathlon - Sunday September 21
Our Club is again sponsoring the Barbara Schmidt Millar Triathlon.  Women can signup to create or join a team for the Triathlon or participate in the 5k Walk/Run.  Men and women are invited to volunteer in a variety of capacities.  Mike and Carolyn are planning to volunteer in kayaks to help with the swim.  To volunteer, please contact the organizers directly at Volunteering to determine best fit for you. Keep Robin posted so we can connect members who are interested in various roles.
